Does Cécred test on animals?

No, we do not test any of our products on animals. We are committed to being cruelty-free, and are PETA Certified.

Is the packaging recyclable?

Our bottles are recyclable. Currently, our caps are recyclable through small piece recycling programs like PACT. All secondary packaging and boxes are FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council), ensuring they come from responsibly managed forests.

Is Bioactive Keratin Ferment a keratin treatment?

No, our patent-pending Bioactive Keratin Ferment is a a fermentation made from Lactobacillus, bioactive keratin peptides, and honey that helps replace, repair, and strengthen broken protein in weak or damaged hair. 95% of hair’s structure is made up of keratin, a naturally occurring structural protein that’s essential for healthy hair. A Keratin treatment is a chemical process that is sealed in with heat. Our technology has no relation to this process.

Our shampoos perform for all hair types. If you're seeking to remove scalp and product build up, we recommend our Clarifying Shampoo and Scalp Scrub. Our Hydrating Shampoo is an crucial staple in your wash routine. We recommend using both in a double cleanse routine for healthy hair and scalp.

Is the Foundation Collection suitable for protective styles?

Yes! Even when your hair is in a protective style, your hair needs the reconstructing, hydrating and fortifying benefits of the Foundation collection. Maintaining a healthy scalp with any protective style is still crucial. We also recommend using our shampoos, conditioners, and any treatments on your hair before installing a protective style or after removing a protective style to experience the maximum benefits of the products.

Are Cécred products Phthalate free?

Yes, all of Cécred products are Phthalate free.

Are Cécred products Sulfate-free?

Yes, Cécred products are SLS and SLES free.

Do Cécred products have microbeads?

No, we don't use microbeads in any of our products. Our Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub contains Microcrystalline Cellulose, a physical exfoliant naturally derived from wood.

Are Cécred products silicone free?

Yes, all Cécred products are silicone-free.

Who are authorized retailers of Cécred?

The Offerings are only made available for purchase on the Website. What is the return policy?

You have 14 (fourteen) days from the delivery date of your order to make a return. Any item(s) you return must be in their original condition, unopened and unused, and with all packaging intact and labels attached. We reserve the right to refuse to provide a refund if the returned item is not in its original condition. Once an order has been placed, we cannot accept any requests for cancellations. To request a return once items have been received, please contact us via our Returns Portal, available here, and provide the information requested on the Returns Portal If the return is approved, you will be sent an email with your return label. You may be responsible for paying for the return label that will be provided to you, and for a restocking fee, which together, will be $9.50. Once your return is received, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item; at which time, your refund will be processed and the applicable amount will be refunded to your credit card or original method of payment. Original shipping fees will not be refunded. The return label fee and restocking fee will be deducted from the total amount refunded to your original form of payment. All item bundles, travel size items, and digital gift cards are final sale, and not eligible for return. How much Clarifying Shampoo & Scalp Scrub should I use when I wash my hair?

Our formula is very concentrated and the amount will vary due to density and thickness of hair, so start out using less than you normally would and make sure you are emulsifying it in your hands to create lather before applying. Add more product if needed.

Can I use the Moisture Sealing Lotion on extensions?

Yes! You can use Moisture Sealing Lotion on human hair extensions, wigs, weaves, etc. just not on any synthetic hair pieces.

How much of the Moisture Sealing Lotion should I use?

Moisture Sealing Lotion is a concentrated formula - you need less than you think! We suggest applying this product in sections to ensure proper and even distribution. Start with a dime to nickel sized amount for each section, comb through and add more product if needed.

When do I apply the Moisture Sealing Lotion?

It works well on damp or dry hair. On damp hair, it will seal in moisture, add shine, and provide a soft hold. It can also apply sparingly to dry hair to smooth and tame any frizz or flyaways.

How often do I use the Moisture Sealing Lotion?

You can use this as often as you like,to hydrate, seal, strengthen and provide a light hold. It can be used daily and anytime you need a little extra definition and flyaway taming throughout the day.

Can I use the Nourishing Hair Oil as an overnight treatment?

Yes! You can use this as an overnight oiling treatment prior to shampooing the next day.

How do I remove the orifice reducer in the Nourishing Hair Oil?

Before first use, remove the small plug to unseal the opening, ensuring the larger plastic stopper stays in place. To remove the stopper, use tweezers to remove the center of the plug. Lift to open.

Can I use the Nourishing Hair Oil on extensions?

You can use this on human hair extensions, just don't get it close to the weft and scalp as the oil can make extensions slip or loosen.

Can I combine Nourishing Hair Oil with other Cécred products?

This oil can be mixed with conditioners for added nourishment, or mixed with the Moisture Sealing Lotion on damp hair or after on dry styled hair as a finisher.

Can I use the Nourishing Hair Oil daily?

Yes! Since this is a multi-use oil and can be applied to towel-dried hair or dry hair.

Can I drink the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual?

No, the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual is not for consumption.

How do I clean my Ritual Shaking Vessel?

The Ritual Shaking Vessel should be used with the contents in the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual only. It is not for use for food storage. HOW TO CLEAN: Clean by hand after each use. Not dishwasher safe. Fill empty vessel with warm water and dish detergent. Seal cap and shake until sudsy. Using a bottle brush, thoroughly scrub the interior of the bottle, the cap and nozzle. If you don’t have a brush, fill vessel with warm, soapy water, shake well and let sit for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water and allow to dry completely before putting cap back on.

Is the Ritual Shaking Vessel included with the Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual?

Can I use the Moisturizing Deep Conditioner with heat?

Yes, using heat causes the cuticle layer of the hair to swell, allowing the deep conditioner to penetrate more deeply and be more effective.

Can I cancel my order?

Once the order is placed, it cannot be cancelled. Please see our Returns Policy if you wish to return your order.

I entered the wrong address, what should I do?

Contact support@cecred.com immediately. In some cases, we may be able to change the address for you if your order hasn't already been processed. In the event that your order is undeliverable or returned to sender due to insufficient or inaccurate shipping information, your order will be refunded once we are notified that the order has been returned/received. Please note that shipping charges are non-refundable. Contact customer care for further assistance.

What are discount code terms?
