How to use

Great for an updo and keeping flyaways in place. This stuff is thick and lasts a long time. It washed out cleanly. It was to thick to offer any kind of lift to my hair. Would use again for sleek updos. This reviewer received something in exchange for this review.

I received this Strong Hold Gel for free in exchange for my honest review. I have naturally 2C/3A hair, and I've tried a lot of gels over the years, many either leave my hair crunchy, flaky, or too stiff. This one really surprised me. I used it on damp hair, scrunching it through my curls and then diffusing. It created a strong cast at first, but once I scrunched it out, my curls were defined, soft, and had great hold without feeling hard. I also tried it for a sleek blowout style to smooth flyaways, and it held everything in place without looking greasy. What really impressed me was how my hair looked the next day. It honestly looked freshly done and my curls still had definition, volume, and minimal frizz without needing much refreshing. Compared to other strong hold gels I've used, this one feels lighter and doesn't leave buildup. I didn't notice flaking, even on day two. The hold lasted throughout the day, even in humidity. The only small downside is that you do need to use the right amount: too much can feel slightly heavy, but once you find your balance, it works beautifully. I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to friends and family, especially anyone with wavy or curly hair looking for strong hold without stiffness. I really like the consistency of this gel. More importantly it didn't give me any white casting. I only needed a little to add to my hair. Which I do with towel damp hair. The hold was amazing, my hair was set all day. This reviewer received something in exchange for this review.
