I received a free sample of the Hair & Scalp Balm, and used this product for about 6 weeks. This balm was the only product that aims to soothe that worked longer on my sensitive scalp after application in my years of trial and error. I have coily, natural 4a hair and a sensitive scalp due to previous years of relaxer use that resulted in a small irritated scalp sore on my crown. I've used light and heavy oils that made my scalp oily with extreme buildup, weighed down my hair, and gave me only half a day of relief before the intense itchiness on my crown started again. This Hair & Scalp Balm extended my scalp relief at the crown for days before the need to re-apply; with relief in less than a minute after application. I was able to use this balm after washing my hair and before refreshing my twist out style without issues using other wash & style products. For twist outs, I used the balm after applying moisturizing cream and before mousse to set my style without extra frizz. For applying demi-permanent black hair dye, I used the balm around my hairline/edges and on my crown to prevent color bleeding and scalp sensitivity. I also have sensitivity to heavy fragrances, but the Hair & Scalp Balm has a scent that seems to have light hints of natural coconut, soft powder, and frankincense and myrrh; a pleasant smell that did not trigger my sinus allergies or overpower my senses throughout the day. This Hair & Scalp Balm has been an amazing hair product that my entire family love!! I started using it on my scalp after washing my hair. My teens loved the scent & inquired about what I was using that smelled so nice. I showed them how I was using the product. Needless to say I quickly noticed that my product was been used my others in my household. I don't blame them. This balm doesn't feel heavy on my scalp. Has a lovely scent. But overall makes my hair feel hydrated with some shine to it. Love this product! We're a family with about 4 different hair textures & lengths, this product worked well for all of us!
