Meet the Women of Cécred

From our founder, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter, sweeping floors in her mother Ms. Tina Knowles’ salon to Ms. Tina mixing up formulas inspired by her own mother, Agnéz Beyincé—Cécred embodies three generations of hair expertise led by women.

This International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating our female-founded, female-led team. Meet the powerhouse women behind Cécred, driving innovation and redefining haircare for all hair types and textures.

Tiffany, Marketing

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Tiffany: My mom! She has always marched to the beat of her own drum. She was vegan before I knew the word vegan back in 1990! She was the first to graduate college in her family. She also was my first introduction to meditating back in the early 90s. So much of who I am comes from her.

My mom turned the den into her "meditation room" when I was around 8. Saturday mornings she would be in there with incense, ocean music, and just herself. It was an unwritten rule that if the door was closed you should neither knock nor enter. If you did either you would be forced to join her until the meditation was finished! This was a hard concept for a 9-year-old who just wanted to know what was for breakfast on a Saturday morning. So where did I find myself many Saturday mornings? In the den meditating...and hungry!

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Tiffany: I can be my most authentic self. There's no need for code-switching.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Tiffany: I absolutely love beauty, especially the hair category. It has been my first love since I was a little girl pretending to be a salon owner and stylist with my dolls and Barbies. I didn't know being a beauty marketer would be my destiny then but reaching this level and building my career in beauty has empowered me and the little me inside.

Nichele, Sales

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Nichele: My ultimate "sHe-ro" is my mother, Dr. Bonnie Hill.  She by all accounts beat surmountable odds.  Born and raised in an extremely low-income neighborhood of Springfield, Illinois, and subjected to drugs and violence from a very young age, she fled her situation and traveled west with her mother and a suitcase to find a way to a better life in California.  She married, started a family and achieved educational excellence achieving her Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degrees in 10 years.  She inspires me on a daily basis.

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Nichele: Working on a female-led, female-founded team reminds me every day how incredibly awesome we are, how far we have come, and how much we can accomplish together.  I love looking around the table and seeing beauty and strength that comes from our individual stories, background, and expertise.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Nichele: The women that I work for and work with empower me on a daily basis.  Knowing that they support me, and we support each other, is priceless.  Also, being a mother is my greatest accomplishment, my daughters Carlin and Dillan inspire and empower me every day.

Briana, Product Development

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Briana: It’s impossible to pick just one person when I’m constantly inspired by all of the women in my life. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such driven, caring, funny, adventurous women in my friend group and family. No matter how far away they live or what stage of their life they are in, they constantly inspire me to step out of my comfort zone and stay grounded.

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Briana: One of the best things about working on a female-led and founded team is the supportive and collaborative environment. It’s motivating to have so many amazing women to look up to and learn from as mentors.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Briana: Being focused, productive (you don’t know how much I love a to-do list), and having clear goals.

Liz, Social

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Liz: A woman who inspires me is my mom. As the proud daughter of immigrant parents, I’ve seen firsthand the strength and resilience she embodies every day—qualities that have shaped me into the person I am today. She is one of the hardest-working people I know, and her unwavering determination constantly motivates me to push forward, work hard, and succeed.

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Liz: I love the camaraderie we share—it’s truly empowering to be part of a team led by such talented, intelligent women who are pioneers in their fields. Learning from them every day is an honor, and witnessing their leadership and passion firsthand is incredibly inspiring. And, of course, our founder is nothing short of iconic. Working for someone of her caliber is amazing because you can truly see the passion and dedication she brings to everything she pursues.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Liz: Knowing that I’m young and already working in the field I love is empowering in itself. Being surrounded by such talented creatives—and being a creative myself—fuels my passion every day. Learning from the best of the best pushes me to grow, and working here reminds me that even though it’s "just hair," our products and impact go far beyond that. I truly believe in what we do, and that belief is what empowers me the most.

Rekik, Creative

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Rekik: There are so many women in my life who inspire me, but if I had to choose one, it would have to be my mom, Tsehai [Suh-Hi]. I really believe people grow into the meaning of their names, and my mom is just that–the sun.

She's always led my sister and me with so much warmth, resilience, and a strong work ethic, all while showing us the power of kindness.

Since we were young, she made sure we knew three things: no one is better than anyone else, always be yourself no matter the space, and keep your faith strong. Those lessons are at the core of who I am today, and I know I wouldn't be me without the love and support she's given so freely. Ewedeshalo, Mama.

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Rekik: There's a special energy in being surrounded by women who are not only talented but also supportive and collaborative. At Cécred, we share a common goal–to create something meaningful–and that understanding is felt in every room we step into.

We celebrate each other's wins, push through challenges together, and bring a level of care and intentionality that makes the work feel personal.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Rekik: Knowing that my voice and perspective matter–especially as part of the creative team. Whether it's bringing ideas to the table, solving problems, or seeing our work come to life and actually impact people, that feeling of contribution and purpose is what fuels me.

Jesse, Digital

Cécred: Who’s a woman you’re inspired by?

Jesse: I can honestly look at any woman in my friend group and find some facet of their lives or the way they carry themselves inspirational. It could be the way they lead a team, grow their own business, the way they mother, the way they love, or how they face their fears. Women close to home tend to light a bigger fire in me vs someone in the spotlight or in my feed.

Cécred: What do you love about working on a female-led, female-founded team?

Jesse: Without generalizing, I think THIS group of females is extremely passionate, determined, and down to earth. It's not specific of any gender per say but unique to our select team.

Cécred: What empowers you?

Jesse: Having freedom of thought and being given the opportunity to take risks.
